Nina Sawant is a circus performer and choreographer who has found her home in the Bay Area. In 2009, Nina graduated magna cum laude from the University of South Florida Dance Program. While studying there, she began performing in KaTonga at Busch Gardens Tampa, which eventually led her to begin circus training with the acrobats in the cast. Since then, Nina has performed with the national tour of Peter Pan 360, Kat Robichaud's Misfit Cabaret, Sweet Can Productions, the Vespertine Circus, Incanto Productions, and Yea Big Dance. Nina loves circus because it “embraces and celebrates our differences. The more you learn to make the most of your quirks--the things that might make it challenging for you to succeed in other performance arts--the more interesting you are as a circus performer.” She enjoys learning new apparatuses, and her specialties include aerial silks, lyra, straps, aerial globe, aerial window, and cyr wheel. Her newest endeavor is a quartet ensemble with 3 other circus performers called the Dahlias, with a focus on creating high end ensemble circus entertainment for special events.
